The 3CCRN is a centrally managed research network hosted by Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, with all research staff reporting to the Research Network Manager. The 3CCRN is one of 32 Cancer Research Networks under the umbrella of the National Cancer Research Network (NCRN) who are our major funding body. A Steering Committee has strategic oversight for the 3CCRN.
What we do
The aim of the Network has been to improve the speed and quality of cancer clinical trials and to provide equity of access to trials for cancer patients across the network. To this end the number of trials available has expanded greatly over the years to include, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, surgery, palliative care, prevention and genetics studies covering a wide range of cancer types. The 3CCRN is responsible for the co-ordination of cancer clinical trials in the network and works closely with multi-disciplinary teams, research and development departments and the 3 Counties Cancer Network. The Trials Teams at each hospital are responsible for screening, recruitment, follow up and care of patients entered into clincial trials.
This website will give you information about our teams, the portfolio of trials we have available and links to other useful websites.
