The National Institute of Health Research Comprehensive Research Networks Co-ordinating Centres (NIHR CRN CC)oversees 25 Comprehensive Local Research Networks (CLRNs) across the whole of England. Please click on the map to the left to enlarge the image for more information.
The NIHR CRN CC works with the six Topic Specific Areas:
- Cancer
- Dementias and Neurodegenerative Diseases
- Diabetes
- Medicines for Children
- Mental Health
- Stroke
The role of the NIHR CRN CC is to provide a world class infrastructure for clinical trials in the above areas or disease and to integrate research into NHS patient pathways. The organisation works together with the topic specific clincal research networks and the Primary Care research network to support high quality clinical trials on the national portfolio and any other well designed studies.
